Kristin Davis is the new marketing face for Maybelline New York

Maybelline, the New York-based division of L’Oréal SA (Clichy, France), has announced that Emmy-nominated TV actress Kristin Davis will represent the brand as its new celebrity spokesperson, in a global TV and print ad campaign for the brand’s new product entries slated to debut in 2005..

The announcement comes within days of the announcement by Gap Inc. (San Francisco) that Sarah Jessica Parker, Davis’ co-star on the HBO show “Sex and the City,” would be featured in its fall marketing campaign.

“I am thrilled to have been chosen to be a new face for Maybelline New York,” said Davis. “Maybelline is such an icon in the beauty industry. Their wonderful products continue to be favorites of mine.”

“Kristin is the perfect personification of the Maybelline New York spirit — fun, flirty, sophisticated and sassy,” said Cheryl Vitali, senior vp, marketing, for Maybelline New York-Garnier. “Now that Kristin’s joined our family, her captivating presence and vitality will speak volumes to women everywhere.”
