Neiman Marcus Hires New President of its Direct Division … And More Industry News

Luxury department store chain Neiman Marcus Inc. (Dallas) hired John Koryl as president of its Neiman Marcus direct division, in a move to accelerate its online business, take a more analytical approach and strengthen cyber connections with customers. He replaces Gerald Barnes, who has been named executive vp and chief merchant of Neiman Marcus Direct. Koryl previously served as senior vp of e-commerce marketing and analytics at Williams-Sonoma Inc.

Michelle Bush joined design and manufacturing company LIT Workshop (Portland, Ore.) as vp of creative services. Bush will lead efforts in new market identification, global development and strategic implementation.

Häfele America Co. (Archdale, N.C.) received the “Best of KBIS” award for best green product at this year’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show held in April. Designed for furniture and cabinetry lighting, the winning LOOX LED Lighting System is rated for 50,000 hours of use.

Lighting solutions and decorative accessories manufacturer Meyda Custom Lighting (Yorkville, N.Y.) has expanded the manufacturing facilities at its corporate headquarters in Yorkville, N.Y.

Sensory branding servicer Muzak, owned by Mood Media Co. (Toronto), partnered with specialty apparel and accessories retailer Aéropostale (New York) to provide custom soundtracks at more than 1000 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
