Niketown Project Takes Home VMSD's Top Visual Award

VMSD announces winners of 2011 International Visual Competition

Eleven 10-foot tall figurines of basketball star souring inside Niketown’s five-story atrium was just part of the slam-dunk package that earned Best in Show honors in the VMSD 2011 International Visual Competition. The in-store promotion campaign, celebrating the World Basketball Festival in New York last year, also included a T-shirt destination, Jordon Brand shop-in-shop, graphics package and window campaign. “It’s the total package,” said judge Joe Baer, owner, ZenGenius Visual Merchants (Columbus, Ohio).

Judges gathered at VMSD’s offices this spring to review entries from around the globe. A total of 10 first place awards and 8 awards of merit were handed out in this year’s competition. See below for a full list of winners.
