For their first venture into Chicago retail, owners of No Place Like envisioned a loft-like space that would be a fitting showcase for the store's line of home goods and accessories.

The store is located in the heart of Chicago's River North area downtown, a neighborhood that is quickly emerging as a trendy habitat for urbanites with a yen for lofty apartments. So No Place Like uses hardwood flooring and exposed brick walls to evoke that “urban living” feel, using product as prop, lighting and furniture.

And the fixturing system is designed with maximum flexibility. Modern and white, all the fixtures are freestanding and can be moved easily. Owners say the tall fixtures against the wall keep the interior open and in step with a constantly changing merchandise scheme.
