Davaco Inc. (Dallas, Texas) promoted Tim Currier to vice president of operations. Currier, who joined the retail-services provider in 1998, will oversee the company’s restaurant division as well as its project management and field execution teams in his new role.

Tommy Le is InteliCoat Technologies’ (South Hadley, Mass.) new western regional sales manager. In his new position, Le will manage relationships with dealers and resellers of the company’s Magic, Magiclée and Museo Fine Art products.

KJ Morris is Hera Lighting’s (Norcross, Ga.) new technical support engineer. He joins the company with five years’ experience in process engineering, and previously held similar positions with Shaw Industries (Dalton, Ga.) and Cooper Lighting (Peachtree City, Ga.).

Creative branding and design firm Pompei A.D. (New York) has named Nathaniel Manapat its cfo. Manapat has an MBA from the State University of New York at Oswego and 15 years of experience in corporate finance and business operations.

STORE OPENING
World Market (Oakland, Calif.) is announcing its 13th store in Illinois with the opening of its new market in Mount Prospect. The store is located in the city’s Randhurst Village Shopping Center.

FRCH Design Worldwide (Cincinnati, Ohio) was recognized by the Ohio Society for Human Resource Management as one of 2012’s Best Employers in Ohio. The architecture, design and brand strategy firm offers teambuilding projects and wellness programs to its employees.

Retail-fixture supplier idX Corp. (St. Louis, Mo.) has installed a Vecoplan Shredder at its Louisville, Ky. facility. The shredder will allow the company to recycle solid-wood waste. idX now expects to recycle more than 38 million pounds of wood waste annually.

Nualight (Cork, Ireland), a food-lighting provider, and Hussmann (Bridgeton, Mo.), a manufacturer of refrigerated displays, are announcing a $100 million partnership. The manufacturers recently co-developed EcoShine II, a line of LED-lit, refrigerated displays, and plan to share sales and marketing resources.

Pratt Corp. has been acquired by the Vomela Group (St. Paul, Minn.). The retail-graphics firm was renamed Pratt Visual Solutions as part of the deal; specific terms were not disclosed. Dan Pratt, formerly ceo of Pratt Corp., will be the president of the new entity, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal.

Visual Magnetics (Mendon, Mass.) added three direct-sales channels in Europe as part of distribution agreements with Dicavesa (Madrid, Spain), Duravision Magnetics Ltd. (Breda, The Netherlands) and Maximedia (Wroclaw, Poland). The move follows the opening of a distribution center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
