Office Depot Partners with FedEx

Discontinues in-store UPS services

Office Depot (Boca Raton, Fla.) announced that it will be expanding its partnership with FedEx (Memphis, Tenn.) and will begin offering its shipping services at all U.S. Office Depot retail stores, starting next month.

The retailer previously offered FedEx services at its OfficeMax stores (which it acquired through a merger in 2013). Now those will be expanded throughout the entire chain.

Within its Office Depot stores, United Parcel Service (Atlanta) shipping services have been available, but the retailer will be ending that relationship next month, as well, reports The Wall Street Journal.

“We have seen an increase in the use of FedEx shipping services and solutions in our OfficeMax retail stores, and look forward to rolling them out to our entire chain early next month,” Office Depot merchandising executive Ron Lalla said.
