Here’s the latest expansion news from select store operators:

Amouage Opens SoHo Boutique

Perfumery house Amouage (Muscat, Oman) has opened a boutique store at 122 Prince St., in New York’s Soho. In a news release, the company said the design of its latest locale is “inspired by the tranquil beauty of the Omani desert, evoking a Martian-like crimson landscape at sunset. The space features rough stone and desert sand-inspired rammed earth architecture, creating a textured, earthy ambiance. The hand-decorated, multicolored resin floor mirrors the natural hues of shifting sands, while three melted pewter, reflective monolithic sculptures offer a striking contrast against the rammed earth walls.” Overall, the brand has 15 standalone boutiques in Oman, the UAE, the U.S., China and Malaysia, as well as a network of approximately 1000 department stores, perfumeries and airports shops.

Il Lanificio Expands in Europe

Il Lanificio (Biella, Italy), a premium apparel brand, said it is opening two new stores this month: one at an outlet mall in Roppenheim, France; and the other at a mall in Sicily, Italy. These additions bring Il Lanificio’s portfolio to 20 European stores. The retailer said it plans more openings in early 2025, but didn’t provide details. (It currently has no units in North America.)

Designed in collaboration with American architecture and interior design firm Janson Scuro, the store in Dallas’ upscale NorthPark Center pairs British craftsmanship with American design sensibility, the company said in a store description on the mall’s website. Its other U.S. stores are in New York (Madison Avenue and Mercer Street) and East Hampton, N.Y. Overall, the brand has 11 more outlets, most of which are in London.
