MANAGEMENT CHANGES

Marketing technologies firm Creative Realities (New York) named Jonathan Glanz vp of global business development for its New York studio. Glanz previously founded JGlanz Associates, a retail consulting and design implementation firm specializing in new retail concept development.

Point-of-sale promotional processing business Ohana Companies (Wilmington, Del.) hired Eric Rubino as president and coo. In his new position, he will assist in strategic problem solving, infrastructure development and corporate governance.

Debby Watson joined idX Corp. as vp of business development. Watson brings 20 years of experience in the store fixture industry to the St. Louis-based fixture manufacturing, logistics and project management company.

STORE OPENINGS

Vinyl collectable retailer Super Rad Toys Inc. (Beverly Hills, Calif.) collaborated with art and pop culture brand Conart to open its first retail store in Los Angeles.

LongHorn Steakhouse (Orlando) opened a 5000-square-feet restaurant in Kingsland, Ga. A division of Darden Restaurants Inc. (Orlando), one of the world's largest full-service restaurant operating companies, LongHorn has more than 350 restaurants in 33 states.

Smoothie maker Jamba Juice Co. (Emeryville, Calif.) opened a store in Orange, Conn. This is the company’s first store in Connecticut.

Electronics retailer hhgregg (Indianapolis) opened a 31,000-square-foot store in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

BUSINESS BRIEFS

Acrylic sheet product manufacturer Plaskolite Inc. (Columbus, Ohio) expanded its product line to offer OPTIX CC, a continuous cast acrylic sheet designed for applications, including skylights, displays, glazing, p-o-p, corporate signage and motorcycle and ATV windshields.

Apparel and accessories retailer Metropark USA Inc. (Los Angeles) is closing all of its 69 U.S. store locations.

PAVE (Hollywood, Fla.) elected new officers for the 2011 term: Denny Gerdeman (Chute Gerdeman, Columbus, Ohio), president; Linda Lombardi (Godiva Chocolatier, New York), vp, PAVE; Bill Goddu (Fleetwood Fixtures, Chicago), vp, gala; Brian Davies (University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati), vp, education; Richard Ernest (Crown Metal Mfg. Co. Inc., Elmhurst, Ill.), treasurer; and Richard Stolls (Lifestyle/Trimco, New York), immediate past president. The four directors elected to the board were Harry Cunningham (Saks Fifth Avenue, New York); Randy Pender (Blueprint3D, Woodbury, Ga.); Veronica Romano (FIT & Veronica Romano Creative Services LLC, New York); and Denise Waldo (Leggett & Platt Store Fixtures, Minneapolis).
