PBteen Pops Up for Holidays

Five temporary stores to open in locations across U.S.

Parent company Williams-Sonoma Inc. (San Francisco) is rolling out PBteen pop-up stores this fall to Durham, N.C., Cincinnati, Edina, Minn., Houston and Miami.

The five pop-up locations will features its new holiday 2012 collection, gadgets for guys and girls, fur-inspired bedding and lounge seating, jewelry and beauty storage and accessories, as well as the recently launched Burton home collection. Each pop-up will be anchored around a PBteen Design Lab and staffed by onsite design specialists to help teens and their parents review products and create personalized rooms and designs electronically on a computer monitor. Products available at PBteen.com can be ordered through the store and shipped directly to the customer.

“We are excited to be entering into five new cities and sharing our PBteen brand with teens and their parents this holiday season,” says Janet Hayes, president of PBteen and Pottery Barn Kids. “PBteen is committed to creating a personalized shopping experience; each store will have a complimentary Design Lab where customers can come in and create their dream room with the help of a personal design specialist.”

PBteen was launched in 2003 as a home retailer focused exclusively on the teenage market. PBteen products are available through direct mail catalogs, e-commerce site PBteen.com and at six U.S. retail stores, including Atlanta, Chicago, New York and St. Louis.
