Peet’s Opens Chicago Flagship

Michigan Avenue store part of nationwide expansion

Peet's Coffee & Tea (Emeryville, Calif.) has opened a new flagship store on Michigan Avenue. The specialty coffee and tea company said it will open 16 new stores in a phased rollout across the Chicago market this fall.

The new store has orchard walnut floors and espresso-stained casework, along with a living wall of plants, according to Crain’s Chicago Business. Chicago is one of the cities targeted for Peet's aggressive U.S. expansion effort that began last year, which will bring its store total to nearly 300 locations nationwide by year-end.
