Prada Comes to Miami Design District

Bringing the group’s retail network to 44 stores

Prada (Milan) is opening a 3890-square-foot, one-story unit in the Miami Design District, Women’s Wear Daily reports. In coordination with the Art Basel Miami Fair, the space will open December 6.

Designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, the location features round-cornered rooms, pale green curtains and light carpeted floors. Crystal and steel displays are complemented by green velvet “Clover Leaf” sofas designed by Verner Panton.

Stefano Cantino, communications and external relations director, told WWD that the opening, “is in line with the group’s expansion strategy, as its goal is to strengthen its presence in mature markets, as well as in emerging ones.”
