Saks Opening New York Outlet

Expands off-price footprint

Saks Fifth Avenue (New York) announced it will open its first outlet store in New York, N.Y. The new location will begin operations March 2016.

The store will be located in a 32-store office tower on East 57^th Street and will feature a street-level lobby and two lower level floors.

Retailing Today reports the move follows Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s own forays into the off-price market with new outlet locations in New York. Saks has already planned for another outlet to open in Manhattan by 2017.
