Sears Appoints New Leader of Men's Apparel

Sears, Roebuck and Co. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) has hired Paul Jones as vp and general merchandise manager for men's apparel. Jones was formerly senior vp, menswear merchandising for Kohl's Department Stores.

“I am very excited that Sears has been able to attract another experienced and talented merchant with a track record of sales and margin success,” said Gwen Manto, Sears' executive vp and general manager of apparel.

Jones spent the last seven years at Kohl's building its men's business. Prior to Kohl's, he worked at Foley's, a subsidiary of May's Department Stores, as vp and division merchandise manager for men's sportswear and designer collection, and at Meier & Frank, holding several positions in management and as men's merchandise buyer.
