Shoppers Expecting More AR Experiences From Brands: Survey

Along with more AR retail experiences, consumers are also looking for virtual shopping assistants

Consumers are expecting their favorite retail brands to offer more augmented reality (AR) shopping experiences in the future, according to a new survey by ConsumerX.

The survey asked participants what online shopping experiences they expect their favorite brands to offer in the future. Along with AR, shoppers are also expecting more virtual shopping assistants to help them with purchases in addition to more live streaming from their favorite brands.

The top choices from consumers are:

  • Augmented reality – 35.6 percent
  • Virtual shopping assistants – 31.7 percent
  • Live shopping – 31.3 percent
  • Shopping commerce – 27.9 percent
