Sony Corp. of America Inc. (New York) said it will close 20 of its U.S. stores, leaving only 11 units still open in the once-vibrant retail chain.

The consumer tech giant, which warned earlier this month about significant and serious reorganization changes coming this year, said it is planning to reduce its headcount by close to 5000 over the course of the year.

The remaining stores will be scattered across California, Florida, New York and Texas.

As reported by the website ZDNet.com, a list of the brick-and-mortar locations to be closed will be “available soon” on Sony’s site.
