A new high-tech AT&T (Dallas) store opened in Peru, Ill. The space includes a hands-on demonstration area to engage customers and to provide a “try before you buy” service experience.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Harbinger, a sign and lighting firm, opened a new facility in Jacksonville.

Office supply chain Office Depot (Boca Raton, Fla.) reported that its stores hold the top three spots for retail energy-efficiency gains at the midpoint of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Energy Star National Building Competition. The retailer’s Plano, Texas, location was named the top contender in the retail category, leading all other buildings in this category with a 17 percent energy reduction. The second and third spots went to Office Depot’s Raleigh, N.C., and Tallahassee, Fla. locations.

Lighting manufacturer WAC Lighting (Garden City, N.Y.) introduced a new 444-page catalog, including energy efficient lighting options.
