Staples Exec to Lead “Strategic Reinvention”

Staples Inc. (Framingham, Mass.) has named Joe Doody vice chairman, with a mandate to “lead Staples’ strategic reinvention.”

Doody had been president of Staples’ North American commercial unit. He will continue to report to chairman and ceo Ron Sargent.

Executive vp Shira Goodman will replace Doody at the helm of the North American commercial unit.
