Swatch Acquires Harry Winston

Swatch Group Ltd. (Biel, Switzerland) has acquired Harry Winston Inc. in a purchase of $750 million, acquiring up to $250 million of pro forma net debt, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

In purchasing the brand and all the activities related to jewelry and watches, Swatch gained Winston’s production company in Geneva and 535 employees worldwide. The acquisition does not include mining activities of Harry Winston Diamond Corp., WWD reports.
