Company appoints new ceo of Chile

Walmart (Bentonville, Ark.) announced Enrique Ostalé as executive vp, president and ceo of Walmart Latin America. He was previously the president and ceo of Walmart Chile, which was formerly D&S. Ostalé will oversee Walmart’s operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua. His new responsibilities begin March 1.

“Walmart’s Latin American operations hold tremendous potential for our company and I look forward to building on our success in these markets. I am honored to expand our mission across the region to provide many more families, many of whom today lack access to products and services at low cost, the opportunity to live better lives,” Ostalé said.
