Swedish Sales Stay Strong

Retail sales in Sweden increased 2.4 percent on the year, beating a forecast for 1.7 percent growth, according to data in a Dow Jones Newswires' poll of economists, Fox Business News reports. Half of Swedish gross domestic product comes from exports and 35 percent of goods shipped go to the euro zone, according to Fox Business.

“Households' financial situation is robust and real disposable incomes are expected to grow solidly in both 2012 and 2013,” Nordea bank analyst Andreas Jonsson told the news organization.
