Toys “R” Us (Wayne, N.J.) is testing the used game arena, possibly trying to break into a market dominated by Game Stop, which sells new and used video games and equipment and recently reported quarterly sales were up 22 percent from a year ago.

A spokesperson for Toys “R” Us says the company is trying out the market in “a couple of its New York” stores, but wouldn’t give any details on the exact stores or the nature of its pre-owned plans.

A flyer spotted in a Toys “R” Us store (and discussed by members on the CheapAssGamer website), invited customers to sell back games for in-store credit. Restrictions stated the store wouldn’t accept Adults Only-rated games or games without their original cases.
