Uniqlo Expanding Kids’ Merchandise

Store layouts redesigned to accommodate collections

Published

on

On Friday, fast fashion retailer Uniqlo (Tokyo) debuted its newly expanded lines for children and infants. The fall collections feature a 50 percent increase in styles and merchandise, including puffer jackets and other outwear, denim and sweatshirts.

Additionally, the company announced that the number of Uniqlo stores carrying children’s and infants merchandise will grow by 60 percent. Those stores will be located largely in suburban locations worldwide. Sales floors have been redesigned to accommodate the expanded collections and feature dedicated sections for children and infants. The company says the expanded lines will double its current sales of children’s and infants’ items and those sales will “rival the scope of the men’s and women’s collections.”
