International fast-fashion retailer Uniqlo Co. Ltd. (Tokyo) is renovating its first global flagship store in New York's SoHo neighborhood, which opened in 2006. The new store will open Sept. 2.

As part of the remodel, the store will feature multiple shop-in-shop areas, promote performance items and fabrics like cashmere and the patterns of flannel, according to a press release.

There will also be a dedicated shop that brings “Japanese urban style” together with “SoHo street style.” The store will also offer styling service through a partnership with Popeye magazine, Japan's men's fashion and lifestyle print publication.
