VMSD’s GlobalShop Booth Awards Unveiled

Members of VMSD's editorial advisory board selected five GlobalShop 2010 exhibitors to be honored with VMSD Outstanding Booth Awards: Amuneal, Holiday Image and Silvestri California in the visual merchandising pavilion, and Rose Displays and B&N Industries in the store fixturing pavilion.

As in years past, Amuneal's booth design (shown) demonstrates the company's craft in metalwork. Copper-colored metal flowers of various designs cover the towering display, with inset windows displaying projects the company completed in the past year. Amuneal says the booth is an effort “to connect emotionally with attendees after such a tough year.” Judges agreed, saying the booth is “a great use of material in an innovative format.”

Other winners, including Silverstri and Rose Displays, were honored for great use of color and scale in sharing their brands' stories, while Holiday Image's park-like setting and seasonal displays were lauded for their clear demonstration of the company's offering. B&N Industries, which partnered with PAVE to sponsor a 3-D student design challenge, honored the top 12 projects from the competition in a runway-like setting.
