Bob Evans Farms Inc. (New Albany, Ohio) announced it will close 20 underperforming Bob Evans Restaurants this year, mostly in May.

The company did not disclose the locations but said the restaurants being targeted are underperforming and mostly outside Ohio, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

In addition, Joe Eulberg, executive vp of human resources, was laid off as part of an ongoing restructuring plan. The board let ceo Steven Davis go in December and is seeking a new chief executive.

The closed restaurants will be sold, and proceeds are expected to total as much as $17 million, reports the Dispatch.
