Kroger (Cincinnati) has opened its largest grocery store in Versailles, Ky. Measuring 133,000 square feet, the store includes features such as an olive oil station, sushi bar, expanded clothing and home goods departments, as well as a separate wine and liquor store located next door.

The store is about 8000 square feet larger than other nearby Krogers, and its aisles are about 18 inches wider than those in a typical location.

As for the building’s design, the store commissioned local artists to paint murals depicting local landmarks and themes. Skylights were also incorporated into the design to allow in natural light and to reduce the large building’s energy costs.

The store also anticipates offering an online ordering and pickup service starting next week, reports Lexington Herald-Leader.
