Lord & Taylor (New York) will unveil two new concept shops this autumn at its Fifth Avenue Flagship. Birdcage and Brand Assembly in-store shops will both feature emerging designers. Liz Rodbell, the company’s president, told Women’s Wear Daily the Birdcage concept will offer “a highly curated, eclectic assortment with over 1000 styles from more than 30 vendors.”

Merchandise will include items such as accessories, home goods, cosmetics, technology and some apparel. The Brand Assembly concept is based on an eponymous Los Angeles trade show and will feature a rotating mix of 20 up-and-coming advanced contemporary designers. They include Torn by Ronny Kobo, Sachin & Babi and Priory of Ten. The Brand Assembly price points will range from $60 to $3000.
