As part of a company-wide restructuring, Crocs Inc. (Niwot, Colo.) plans to exit the leases on 75-100 Crocs stores and lay off about 180 of its 5000 employees, including the elimination of about 70 jobs at its headquarters, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The shoe retailer also plans to cut back on some its newer styles and focus on its classic plastic molded clogs.

Crocs announced it will open a Global Commercial Center in the Boston area in late 2014, “housing key merchandising, marketing and retail functions” in a market where it expects it to be easier to attract experienced management, reported Colorado’s 9 News. The Boulder County headquarters will operate as the retailer’s Product Creation and Global Shared Services Center.
