Despite current pressures on the labor market, Adidas is planning to hire 2800 new employees this year, reports Footwear News. The positions are spread across 307 locations in 47 countries with more than 800 based in Germany and 900-plus at the brand’s retail stores.

“We want to set standards as an employer. Adidas is an employer like no other, and we go above and beyond every day to create an attractive working environment for our employees,” said Amanda Rajkumar, Executive Board Member, Global Human Resources, People and Culture.

An additional 800 roles will be U.S.-based with 130 at the brand’s U.S. headquarters in Portland, Ore. Adidas currently employs about 62,000 people.
