Abercrombie & Fitch (New Albany, OH) has introduced a store concept that prioritizes omnichannel shopping, opening its first two locations with the new design in Los Angeles and Milan.

“The new getaway-themed aesthetic is a stylish nod to a chic hotel lobby,” the retailer said in a release. Design elements include elevated fixtures and furnishings, wood accent walls and styled spaces dedicated to the categories for which Abercrombie is best known.

Joanna Ewing, GVP & Head of Creative for Abercrombie, said the design of the new stores was inspired by the “getaway mindset” of the retailer’s customers.

“Their love for our denim manifested in a dedicated denim studio. The fitting rooms have been optimized with customizable lighting and chic design elements. Their affinity for travel is captured in the store’s hotel lobby-like vibe, complete with a check-in desk,” she said in a release.

The company says it plans to open more getaway-themed stores around the globe this year and throughout 2023.
