Gap Sales Down for November

Worse than analysts anticipated

Gap (San Francisco) released its performance results during the month of November, which included declines in sales for all three of its brands: Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic.

Total sales for the month declined a total of 9 percent to $1.57 billion. Accounting for a constant currency, the company saw an 8 percent drop in sales at established stores, which is worse than the 6.3 percent drop analysts had expected.

Sales at Gap dropped 4 percent; Old Navy’s were down 9 percent; and Banana Republic’s sales declined by 19 percent, reports Fox Business
