Express Inc., the New York-based specialty apparel retail chain, is launching a new store design concept, created by Japanese design firm Wonderwall (Tokyo), this month. The new concept will debut at King of Prussia Mall, in King of Prussia, Pa.

“The best of what we know and have learned over many years has been put into this new store design concept, which is modern and sophisticated, yet very engaging,” says Michael Weiss, president and ceo, Express Inc. “We are excited about the potential of this new store design concept and look forward to measuring the impact it has on our business in the two markets.”

The 13,000-square foot store is divided into three sections, including men’s, women’s and denim. The dual-gender Denim Lab features an oak wood ceiling, suspended trellis in aged timber, polished concrete flooring and outrigger mounted wooden shelves framed by black velvet curtains. Other design details include wood merchandising tables and a 100-silver globe LED lighting installation.

The concept will also launch in June in Cincinnati's Kenwood Towne Center.
