Walmart Tests Online Delivery Service

Walmart to Go Introduced in San Jose, Calif.

Walmart Stores Inc. (Bentonville, Ark.) has broadened its services to allow customers in the San Jose, Calif., area to order grocery items online. Called Walmart to Go, the next-day delivery service provides groceries packed in totes bags and shipped in temperature-controlled trucks, with delivery charges starting at $5.

Other grocers offering similar services include Safeway and Peapod, while some non-grocery store run services are provided by AmazonFresh and Fresh Direct.
