The Crystals shopping complex at CityCenter in Las Vegas will soon welcome a slate of new luxury retailers – Donna Karan, Stella McCartney and Yves Saint Laurent stores will debut this fall, while Prada, Gucci, Harry Winston, Emilio Pucci and Balenciaga are expected to open at the center by years’ end.

“We take pride that we did The Crystals in the worst economic time, but we didn’t deviate from the mission,” says Farid Matraki, vp and general manager of The Crystals, reports Women’s Wear Daily. “Las Vegas didn’t need another mall, so we didn’t do that. We created an experience.”

He adds that after the new retail additions, Crystals will be close to 86 percent occupied, and that 6 to 7 percent of what’s left is third-floor space scheduled for future development that might not take place for another year.

Housed in a 3000-square-foot space, Donna Karan’s first Las Vegas location will offer the brand’s complete selection of ready-to-wear, shoes, cashmere, evening, accessories, intimates, hosiery and fragrances. A 4000-square-foot YSL store will carry women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories, and McCartney’s boutique will include apparel, bags, shoes, lingerie, fragrance, sunglasses and the Adidas collection.
