Shoemaker planning New York debut on Spring Street

U.K.-based shoe company Dr. Martens, whose workboot-style footwear was a defining look in the ’90s, is in negotiation for space at 148 Spring St., reports Crain's New York.

A representative of Dr. Martens told Footwear News that the New York location will be 2000 square feet and is expected to open in September, reports Crain's.

In addition to its London and Paris locations, the 50-year-old brand has stores in Seattle, Portland, Ore., and San Francisco.
