Spain's Inditex, Europe's largest clothing retailer and parent company of Zara, plans to introduce its first flagship for the moderate-priced fashion brand in India next year.
Inditex ceo Pablo Isla says the company expects to add five Zara locations to the country’s growing retail market, starting in New Delhi in early 2010, followed by Mumbai and then other cities.

He added that about half of Zara's new stores over the next few years will be in Asia. Zara opened its first shop in China in 2007.

This month, the company reported profits over the nine months to October 31 were down 1.5 percent, while sales were up 6 percent.
