Fashion and furniture find inspiration in Milan

Published

on

During the Salone del Mobile in April, the biggest furniture event in Europe, store windows throughout the city of Milan reinforced the idea that fashion, design and architecture inspire and influence each other.

Displays coordinated with the event by integrating the season’s new styles with the most recent pieces of furniture, lamps, fabrics and lifestyle objects, showing where the trends in colors, surfaces and materials are going.

In the windows of fashion leaders Blumarine, Just Cavalli and Anna Ravazzoli and knitting design house Missoni, spring outfits and flashy fabric prints are accompanied by table lamps, statues and arm chairs.

Strong statements of pink, orange, yellow and lime color these visual worlds, along with metallics and gem stones. But black and white is still seen everywhere, from knitted dresses to art objects.
