The Estee Lauder Cos. (New York) will flip a switch and turn Las Vegas’ Venetian Hotel and Resort pink at the end of the month to kick off the cosmetics company’s Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

Evelyn Lauder, senior corporate vp and founder and chairwoman of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, will participate in the ceremony along with actress and Estee Lauder spokesperson Elizabeth Hurley, tennis player Andre Agassi and celebrity chef Thomas Keller.

The illumination ceremony will be preceded by a pink-hot fashion show in the hotel’s Grand Canal Shoppes.

The Sands Macao in the People’s Republic of China (a sister property of The Venetian) will also go pink, along with: Elvis Presley’s Graceland Mansion in Memphis; City Hall in Vienna; Monument of the Flags in Sao Paolo; Impanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro; the Canadian side of Niagara Falls; City Hall in Las Condes, Chile; The Royal Opera House at Covent Garden in London; The National Assembly in Paris; Athens City Hall; The Magere Brug bridge in Amsterdam; the Hong Kong Tram; the Arena in Verona, Italy; Constantine’s Arch in Rome; the Tokyo Tower; the Namsan Tower in Seoul, Korea; City Hall in Vilnius, Lithuania; the Auckland Skytower in New Zealand; The Grand Hotel, Karl Johansgt in Oslo, Norway; and the GUM Historical Trade Center in Moscow.

The event marks The Estee Lauder Companies’ 5th annual Global Landmarks Illumination Initiative. Every year since 2000, world famous-landmarks are illuminated in pink light to generate support for breast cancer awareness and encourage women to seek information about breast cancer and breast health.
