Retailer has plans for five stores in Rhode Island and Massachusetts in the fall

Kohl's Corp. (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) has announced plans to expand in New England this year.

The growing 420-store retailer whose primary base of stores has been in the Midwest will open in Taunton, Mass., and Warwick, Smithfield and Seekonk, R.I., in the fall. Those stores will join 13 others that opened in the greater Boston area and New Hampshire earlier this year.
