Merchandising svp leaves retailer for Illuminations

Steve Woodward has resigned as senior vp, merchandising, of The Bombay Co. (Fort Worth, Texas) to become president of Illuminations, a specialty retailer that sells candles and related products.

Carmie Mehrlander, Bombay Co. president and ceo, will assume responsibilities for merchandising for the 420-store furniture and housewares retailer while a search for Woodward's successor is being conducted.
