The Avedis Zildjian Co., Norwell, Mass., has roots which began in Turkey, 375 years ago. In fact, the family name Zildjian even means “cymbalmaker.” But even a business with four centuries of experience can learn a few new tricks when it comes to presentation. That's where Fitch, Columbus, Ohio, comes in. Fitch designed “Zildjian Vision,” a display/fixture system that uses slatwall and freestanding units instead of the “trees” more commonly used for cymbal display. An additional fixture was designed for the pedal-operated “hi-hat” cymbals, and “vaults” store overstock and multipack cymbal sets. The system was introduced at industry tradeshows at the beginning of the year, and Zildjian is hoping the new units will be a crashing success.
