(PRESS RELEASE) The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) has awarded Ielyzaveta Ignatyeva from the Fashion Institute of Technology as the 2020 Bergmeyer Scholarship recipient. This scholarship recognizes and supports leadership potential in the Interior Design, Architecture and Graphic Design through a $1,500 award and an opportunity to take part in an immersive virtual learning experience with some of the industry’s top designers at Bergmeyer.

“In collaboration with PAVE, Bergmeyer would like to congratulate Ielyzaveta Ignatyeva from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) as the recipient of the 2020 Bergmeyer Scholarship. We extend our appreciation to all of the talented design students from colleges and universities across the United States who submitted applications to the sixth annual Bergmeyer Scholarship with PAVE. Bergmeyer would like to recognize Ielyzaveta in particular for thoughtfully integrating interior design, interactive technology, and branding cohesively together in her design projects to create memorable and meaningful user experiences,” said Rachel Zsembery, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, vice president at Bergmeyer.

The PAVE Scholarship Program, now in its eleventh year, provides financial assistance to students in educational programs preparing them for careers in the retail environments industry, including but not limited to careers in retail design, visual merchandising, interior design, architecture, and industrial design industries. PAVE was developed to help ensure a future talent pool for the industry by eliminating barriers to studying in these fields. The funds assist students who are experiencing financial difficulties that may prevent them from continuing school. PAVE has awarded students with over $210,000 in financial grants and scholarships over the past three years.
