Yum Brands Purchases App Ordering Company

Tictuk facilitates online ordering via social media, messaging apps

Yum Brands (Louisville, Ky.), which owns KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, has purchased Tictuk, an Israeli tech company that facilitates menu ordering via social media and messaging apps, reports CNBC. This is the second technology acquisition in one month for the CSR brand owner.

Earlier in March, Yum bought Kvantum, which uses AI to deliver consumer insights and marketing performance analytics. Last year, Yum’s 2020 digital ordering revenue reached record levels of $17 billion, representing a 45 percent increase over 2019.
