Sears (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) will be closing its last department store in its home state of Illinois, according to a company press release.

Sears Holdings filed for Chapter 11 in 2018 and was acquired by Transformco, which has been steadily closing locations. The last store, located in Simon Property’s Group Woodfield Mall, is set to close their doors permanently Nov. 14.

In a release, parent company Transformco said it will redevelop the property as part of its strategy “to unlock the value of the real estate and pursue the highest and best use for the benefit of the local community.”

There are about 33 Sears stores still open across the country.
