A Smokin’ Debut: Bacon Nation Opens at D Las Vegas

New 24/7 concept brings home the bacon in flights, “reverse BLTs” and more

Bacon Nation – Las Vegas’ first 24/7 bacon-inspired restaurant concept – has opened at the D Las Vegas hotel/casino.

Created by Downtown Hospitality Group (Las Vegas), the restaurant offers a menu including gourmet bacon flights, French toast boxes and “reverse BLTs,” for which weaved bacon takes the place of bread, the company said in a news release.

The restaurant’s interior was created by PGAL (Houston) and features an open kitchen, brick walls, marble accents and rich woods. The main dining room has a 120-person capacity, while a private dining room can accommodate up to 24 seated guests and features a private draft beer area. The interior is also peppered with signage bearing bacon-related puns.

The newest addition to the D’s recently reimagined second floor, Bacon Nation created its menu in collaboration with Las Vegas Chef Josh Green, who is renowned for his work with other local eateries, including Skinny Fats, Greens and Proteins, and restaurants from Chef Daniel Boulud and Chef Charlie Palmer.

“As longtime proponents of downtown Las Vegas’ growth and development, we couldn’t have thought of a better partner in this project than Derek Stevens and the D,” said Abe Taylor, Co-Founder of Bacon Nation. “We’re excited to create a new 24/7 concept for the area and look forward to showing our guests a fun atmosphere paired with an exceptional menu.”

The hotel/casino housing the new eatery is at 301 E. Fremont St.

Update 12/29/2023: Bacon Nation is now open 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Thursdays through Mondays, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
