Oscar de la Renta to open new boutique in fashion mall

Oscar de la Renta Ltd. (New York) will open a new boutique at South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa, Calif.), the fashion designer’s second location to open in Southern California within a 12-month span.

According to a report in Women’s Wear Daily, the 2600-square-foot store – de la Renta’s seventh freestanding space – will be located on the shopping center's third level. Like the location on Melrose Place in Los Angeles, the new space will house the designer's ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes, handbags, jewelry and select items that are only offered in his freestanding stores.

WWD reports the South Coast Plaza store will feature Dominican coral stone and high-gloss white anigre wood.
