Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.) announced its upcoming expansion into India. CEO Tim Cook is traveling to the country this week to announce plans for three upcoming stores and a startup accelerator.

Fortune reports the first three stores in India are planned for Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. All are scheduled to open within 18 months.

The company’s startup accelerator will be the first for its company as part of an initiative to “incubate” iOS application ideas.
