Apple (Cupertino, Calif.) opens the doors to its largest store in Arizona today, at Scottsdale Quarter, one of the area’s newest shopping districts. The nearly 10,000-square-foot location will include Apple’s Pro Labs, free training in digital photography, music production and video editing. That program is currently only offered in its New York and Boston stores.

“We are very pleased and excited to have Apple join our notable retailer line-up at Scottsdale Quarter,” says Michael Glimcher, chairman and ceo of Glimcher Realty Trust, owner, developer and manager of the property. “We believe having a high profile Apple store is a major win for the Scottsdale Quarter community.”

The retailer’s other local stores are in Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale and Phoenix, as well as a store in Tucson.

Scottsdale Quarter is a 28-acre project with 370,000 square feet of mixed-use retail and restaurant options; 35,000 square feet of entertainment; and 205,000 square feet of office space. Other tenants at the outdoor lifestyle center include Williams-Sonoma Home, west elm, Brio Tuscan Grille, Nike, Hennes & Mauritz (H&M), Oakville Grocery and Parc Central. The project also includes a hotel and residential component that will be developed by others independently from the retail and office space being developed.

During this week’s World Wide Developer Conference, Apple announced a new lineup of Macbook Pro laptops and a new version of its iPhone operating system as well as a lower price for the phones.
