Bed Bath & Beyond (Union, NJ) will install self-checkout technology at its stores following a successful pilot program at the retailer’s New York City flagship, Retail Touchpoints writes.

Bed Bath & Beyond has been using its NYC flagship as a testing ground for in-store tech, the article explains. In addition to the self-checkout capability, customers at the store can use the retailer’s app to activate an “in-store shopping mode” that helps them navigate the 92,000-square-foot space. The flagship also makes heavy use of QR codes in aisles and on product displays, enabling shoppers to search for additional sizes and colors.
