Neiman Marcus to open Florida store in 2005

Neiman Marcus (Dallas) has announced plans to open a 130,000-square-foot store at the Town Center at Boca in Boca Raton, Fla. The retailer will take over the space formerly occupied by Lord & Taylor, joining such retailers as Bloomingdale's, Burdines, Nordstrom, Saks and Sears.

“We are very pleased to be able to join such a strong retail lineup at Town Center at Boca,” says Wayne Hussey, senior vp, properties for Neiman Marcus. “Florida has been an incredibly strong growth market for Neiman Marcus over the past five years, and our entry into Town Center fills a very important void on the east coast of Florida.”

The new store is slated to open in fall 2005. The shopping center was built in 1980 and was acquired by Simon Properties Group in 1998.
